Twitter Bookmarks Exporter

Export your Twitter (X) bookmarks to CSV, Excel, or JSON in one click. Free, no API key, and no row limit from Lection.

Free to runNo account neededStructured resultsNo row limit from Lection

Exports the bookmarks of the X account you are logged in to in this browser. Nothing to enter.

Large exports take a minute: pages are fetched about three per second to stay gentle on X.

How It Works

The Lection extension asks x.com for your bookmarks the same way the X website does when you open your bookmarks tab, using the session you are already logged in with. It reads page after page until X has nothing more, then turns the posts into one table you can download.

Nothing is sent to Lection servers while the export runs. Your login stays in your browser.

How to Export Twitter Bookmarks

Install the Extension

Install the Lection Chrome extension.

Step 2

Log In to X

Step 3

Press Export My Bookmarks, wait for the count to stop climbing, then download CSV, Excel, or JSON.

What You Get

One row per post, with these columns. The same file downloads as CSV, Excel, or JSON.

ColumnWhat it holds
Tweet IDThe numeric id of the post.
Tweet URLA link that opens the post on x.com.
Author HandleThe @handle of the author, without the @.
Author NameThe author display name.
TextThe full post text, including long posts.
Created AtWhen the post was published, as an ISO 8601 UTC timestamp.
Likes / Retweets / Replies / QuotesEngagement counts at export time.
ViewsView count when X reports one (0 otherwise).
Media URLsPhoto URLs and the best MP4 video URL, separated by " | ".

Limits, Honestly

  • Lection does not cap rows. X decides how far back its bookmarks list goes, and the export stops where X stops.
  • Only your own bookmarks. X keeps bookmarks private, so other accounts cannot be exported.
  • Deleted, suspended, and withheld posts come back empty from X and are skipped.
  • Bookmark folders are not separated: the export is the full list, as under All Bookmarks.
  • Large lists take about a second per hundred posts. If X rate limits the session, wait a few minutes and run it again.

What People Use It For

  • Backing up years of saved posts before an account change or a platform shake-up.
  • Moving research, threads, and links into Notion, Airtable, Obsidian, or Google Sheets.
  • Searching and sorting bookmarks by author, date, or engagement, which the X app does not let you do.
  • Pulling the media URLs of saved images and videos into a reading or swipe file.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I export my Twitter (X) bookmarks?
Install the free Lection extension, log in to x.com in the same browser, then click Export My Bookmarks on this page. Your bookmarks download as CSV, Excel, or JSON.
Does X have a built-in way to export bookmarks?
No. The "Download an archive of your data" request from X does not include a readable list of your bookmarks, and the X API needs a paid developer plan. This tool reads the same bookmarks list the X website shows you.
Is there a limit on how many bookmarks I can export?
Lection adds no row limit and no paywall. The export follows the bookmarks list until X stops returning pages, or until the Max Rows value you set. If X stops serving older bookmarks, the export ends there.
Can I export bookmarks from another account?
No. Bookmarks are private to the account that saved them, so this tool exports only the bookmarks of the account logged in to x.com in your browser.
What is in the exported file?
Tweet ID, tweet URL, author handle and name, full text, created date, likes, retweets, replies, quotes, views, and photo or video URLs.
Is it safe? Does it unbookmark anything?
The tool only reads your bookmarks list. It never likes, unbookmarks, posts, or follows. Requests run from your own browser through the extension, so your X login stays on your device.
Why do I need the Chrome extension?
X does not allow other websites to read your logged-in session. The extension makes the request from your browser with your own session, then hands the rows to this page.
Why are some bookmarked posts missing?
Posts that were deleted, from suspended accounts, or withheld in your country come back from X without any content, so they are skipped. The results bar shows how many were skipped.
