Bluesky Following Exporter
Export the accounts any Bluesky user follows to CSV, Excel, or JSON. Free to run, no login, no API key, and no extension. Handles, display names, DIDs, avatars, and profile links.
How to Export Your Bluesky Following List
Bluesky shows who an account follows on its profile but has no button to download the list. This tool reads that same public list from Bluesky's open API, page by page, and turns it into a spreadsheet. Enter a handle, click Export Following, and download CSV, Excel, or JSON.
The requests go from your browser directly to Bluesky's public API. You are not logged in to anything and no Lection server sits in the middle.
Step-by-Step Guide
Enter a handle
Type a Bluesky handle such as name.bsky.social, a custom-domain handle, or paste the bsky.app profile link.
Click Export Following
The list loads 100 accounts at a time. Set Max Rows if you only want the first few thousand, or press Stop at any point.
Download your file
Download CSV, Excel, or JSON. Downloads use credits (1 per 100 rows); a free account includes 5 credits a month.
What You Get
One row per account, with these columns. The same file downloads as CSV, Excel, or JSON. Bluesky's list endpoints do not include bios or follower counts, so those are not in the export.
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Handle | The account handle, such as name.bsky.social or a custom domain. |
| Display Name | The display name the account set (empty if none). |
| Profile URL | A link that opens the profile on bsky.app. |
| DID | The permanent decentralized ID. It stays the same if the handle changes. |
| Avatar URL | Link to the profile picture. |
| Profile Created | When the account profile record was created, as an ISO 8601 UTC timestamp. |
| Indexed At | When Bluesky last indexed the account. |
Honest Limits
- Public data only. The tool reads what any visitor can see, so it cannot export private data or anything behind a login.
- No bios or follower counts. Bluesky's following list returns identity fields only.
- Exports stop at 100,000 rows or your Max Rows value.
- Counts can differ slightly from the profile, because deleted and hidden accounts are left out of the list.
- If Bluesky rate limits your connection, the tool waits and retries, and keeps whatever has already loaded.
What People Use It For
- Backing up the accounts you follow before changing handles or domains.
- Seeing which accounts a creator, journalist, or competitor pays attention to.
- Auditing your own follows: sort by profile age to find old or inactive accounts.
- Comparing two accounts' following lists in a spreadsheet to find overlap.
