How to Export Instagram Likes

Instagram has no button to download the list of people who liked a post. This free tool reads the likes list Instagram serves for the post and saves it as a spreadsheet. Paste a post or Reel link, click Export Likes, and download Excel, CSV, or JSON. Instagram returns about 100 likers per post, so it works best on small and mid-size posts.

Your data stays private. Requests run in your own browser, through the Lection extension and your logged-in Instagram session. Your exported data is never sent to Lection.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Install the extension and log in

Install the free Lection Chrome extension, and make sure you are logged into instagram.com in this browser.

Step 2

Paste the post link

Open the post or Reel, tap the three dots, choose Copy Link, and paste it into the box above.

Step 3

Export and download

Click Export Likes. When the list appears, download it as CSV, Excel, or JSON.

What You Get

One row per account that liked the post:

  • Username and Full Name
  • User ID, Instagram's numeric account ID
  • Verified and Private flags (Yes or No)
  • Profile URL, a link to each account

Honest Limits

  • Instagram returns about 100 likers per post and no way to page further. On a post with thousands of likes you get roughly the first 100, and the tool shows how many likes Instagram reports so you can see the gap.
  • Likes have no timestamp, so the export cannot show when each person liked.
  • You can only export posts your logged-in account can open. If a creator hides like counts, the list may be empty.
  • Very frequent exports can trigger Instagram rate limits. Wait a few minutes if you see a rate limit message.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I export the likes on an Instagram post?
Install the free Lection extension, stay logged into Instagram in the same browser, paste the post or Reel link above, and click Export Likes. When the list loads, download it as CSV, Excel, or JSON.
Can I see who liked someone else's post and export it?
Only as far as Instagram shows you. The tool reads the same likes list you get by tapping the like count in Instagram, using your own logged-in session. If Instagram hides the likes on a post, there is nothing to export.
Does the export include every like?
Not on big posts. Instagram serves only about the first 100 likers of a post, even when the post has thousands of likes, and it offers no way to page further. The tool exports everything Instagram returns and shows both numbers, so you can see when the list is partial. Posts with about 100 likes or fewer export completely.
What columns are in the export?
Username, full name, user ID, verified, private, and a profile URL for each account that liked the post. Instagram does not include the time of each like.
Can I export likes to Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Download the Excel file or the CSV and open it in Excel or Google Sheets. To keep a sheet refreshed automatically, use the Lection extension with a Sheets export.
Is it free, and is there a row limit?
It is free and Lection adds no row cap of its own. The limit comes from Instagram, which returns about 100 likers per post. You need the free Lection extension because the request has to run in your own logged-in browser.
Why does it say I need to log into Instagram?
Instagram only serves the likes list to a signed-in session. Open instagram.com in this browser, log in, and run the export again.
