Free Instagram tools

Five free exporters that turn Instagram followers, following lists, posts, comments, and likes into a spreadsheet. Each one reads what your logged-in account can already see and downloads it as CSV, Excel, or JSON.

Every tool here runs with the free Lection Chrome extension and your own Instagram login. No API key.

Free Instagram tools

  • Instagram Followers Exporter

Exports: The followers of any account you can view: username, full name, private and verified flags, and profile URL.

Limits: Private accounts only if you are an approved follower. Instagram rate limits very large pulls, so big lists load in batches.

    Needs the free Lection extension.

  • Instagram Following Exporter

Limits: Same visibility as the Instagram app: private accounts only if you follow them. Expect rate limits on very long lists.

    Needs the free Lection extension.

  • Instagram Posts Exporter

Exports: Posts from a profile with caption, like and comment counts, date, post type, and post URL.

Limits: Only posts your account can open. No hard cap from Lection, but Instagram may slow down long Export All runs.

    Needs the free Lection extension.

  • Instagram Comments Exporter

Exports: Comments on a post or Reel: username, full name, comment text, likes, reply count, date, and profile URL.

Limits: The post has to be visible to your account. Large threads page through slowly and can hit Instagram rate limits.

  • Instagram Likes Exporter

Exports: Accounts that liked a post or Reel, with username, full name, user ID, verified and private flags, and profile URL.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these Instagram tools really free?
Yes. All five exporters are free to run with the Lection Chrome extension and download to CSV, Excel, or JSON. Paid plans add scheduled runs and delivery to Google Sheets or other apps.
Why do I need the Lection extension?
Instagram only returns follower, comment, and like data to a logged-in session. The extension makes those requests from your own browser with your existing login, so nothing needs a password or an API key.
Can I export data from private Instagram accounts?
Only if your account follows them and Instagram already shows you their content. The tools see exactly what you can see in the Instagram app and nothing more.
Will exporting get my Instagram account banned?
The tools read data the way the Instagram website does and never follow, like, or comment. Very large or rapid exports can trigger temporary rate limits, so run big lists in batches and wait a few minutes if Instagram slows you down.
How many rows can I export?
Lection sets no hard cap on followers, following, posts, or comments; Instagram rate limits decide how far a single run gets. The likes exporter is the exception, since Instagram returns only about 100 likers per post.
Can I send Instagram exports to Google Sheets automatically?
Yes. Download a file for a one-off, or connect Google Sheets in Lection to refresh the same sheet on a schedule. The guides above walk through followers, following, and comments.

This page does one page. The extension does the rest.
